We believe missions to be the very Heart of God. Calvary Chapel of Alpine, as a body of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, desires to serve and please God by taking to heart our responsibility to be a part of the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19 - "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
We are committed to fulfilling this directive by:
Sending missionaries from our fellowship - as believers mature in the Lord and respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to go, we shall assist them as a sending body in all ways, according to the scriptures.
Assisting those from other fellowships who are called to go - by supporting them with prayer and financial assistance
Supporting the efforts of National Pastors - who can effectively minister to their own people, both culturally and linguistically, where we are limited. We seek to be of assistance, when directed by the Lord, to those who have committed their lives to winning and discipling souls to Christ.
Equipping those who are a part of the Great Commission, both locally and internationally - by offering training through the Inductive Bible Study method, so that teachers may teach in an expository style through God's word, applying it to their lives as well as those they teach. (see end note)
Involvement in Short Term trips - to encourage and assist missionaries; to educate our body to the realities of third world living and missionary needs, and to promote a greater love and commitment for missions.
